So our new dog Juno, being a young mix of Dalmatian and Labrador, has a lot of energy. He’s got to work for his food, usually go for a walk outside or now running on the treadmill. I started him on the treadmill a couple of weeks ago, holding a leash while he ran. Then I tied the leash to the treadmill, so I can lazily sit beside the treadmill and watch TV while he runs. Just in the last week, I’ve gotten him to stay on without a leash, he just jumps off the treadmill at full speed when he’s tired.. I think the next step is to strap the treadmill safety switch to his collar and see how that goes.
